What is the difference between optical isolation and magnetic isolation?
Optical isolation is a more traditional solution, that is, signals are transmitted through high-speed optocouplers. Magnetic isolation is a new solution in recent years, which transmits signals through magnetic field coupling.
1. Optical isolation: The advantage is that the high-frequency noise is small, and the disadvantage is that the power consumption is large. The TX transmitter of some low-power devices cannot drive the optocoupler.
2. Magnetic isolation: The disadvantage is noise, and the advantage is fast speed, high frequency, good waveform and low power consumption.
